Reasons why I hate Pokemon
1. The games are stupid. The graphics are terrible, even for GBA and DS games. The plots of the games are also weak.
2. The whole series seems to be trying to stay fresh and start over again by constantly adding new Pokemon and characters.
3. The Pokemon designs are getting worse and worse as the creators desperately try to keep the series alive. Now there's a living trash bag and a levitating ice cream cone with a face. Can it get any worse?
4. The products are like drugs. Once a young child becomes addicted to Pokemon, it's unlikely you will be able to change their mind about it. And once they're addicted to it, it's most likely all they'll want to do and talk about.
5. The games destroy families and friendships. Once a child becomes addicted to the games, they won't want to spend as much time with their family. Normal family activities once participated in by the child now appear boring compared to the instant positive reinforcement given when the child catches a Pokemon or obtains a gym badge. And friendships also suffer when the child becomes addicted. If the child has friends who are also addicted, he or she may fight with them about bad trades or losing battles.
6. The cards. The cards cause crime and violence, in and outside of schools. There have been break-ins, schoolyard fights, and children sent to the hospital over these little pieces of cardboard. In one case, a garbage can was thrown at a child. In another case, a child hid in the supply closet of a store to wait until the store closed and steal the store's supply of Pokemon cards. This needs to be stopped.
